Lifestyle change and lack of healthy behavior of adolescent can cause health problems characterized by a change in nutritional status that is the increasing of overweight and obesity prevalence to adolescents in developing country. This study aims to analyze the relation between life style and nutritional status of adolescent. The study design was a descriptive analytic with Cross Sectional approach. It was conducted at Senior High School 1 in Makassar from August to December in 2014. The sample in this study was the students in grades of X, XI, and XII that was 297 adolescents chosen with stratified random sampling. Data were collected by using Living Long and Healthfully Self Test instrument, Weight scale, Microtoise, and BMI assessment of the students based on WHO’s AntrhoPlus software, 2007. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate with Chi-Squaretest. The result showed that good life style of adolescents with normal nutritional status was 92 students (31%), middle-less life style of adolescents with thin nutritional status was 10 students(3.4%), normal was 107 (36%), and obesity was 66 (22.2%), while the relation between life style and nutritional status of adolescent obtained p = 0,00 (< 0.05). This study concluded there was a relation between life style and nutritional status of adolescent, obesity nutritional status was more in middle-less life style of adolescent rather than thin nutritional status. Adolescents were expected to pay attention to healthy life style including a balanced nutritious food intake, regular physical activity, adequate rest in order to maintain the normal nutritional status to prevent health problems in adulthood.
